Fish Lake Dam Modifications

Otter Tail County, Minnesota

Sealed proposals for the construction of the Fish Lake Dam Modifications will be received by the Pelican Group of Lakes Improvement District at Houston Engineering, Inc., Fargo, North Dakota until 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 13, 2017. Proposals must be hand-delivered or mailed to Houston Engineering, Inc. at 1401 21st Avenue North, Fargo, ND 58102 on or before 10:00AM, Friday, October 13, 2017 at which time they will be open and read. Contact person for the planned work is: Thomas Eskro, Houston Engineering, Inc., phone (701) 237-5065. The contract documents may be examined at Houston Engineering, Inc.

The major items of work consist of the following approximate quantities:

•1 LS Mobilization

•185 LF Flotation Silt Curtain

•1 LS Remove Concrete, Steel Plate and Exposed Rebar

•1 LS Cut Sheet pile Wall

•652 CY Channel Excavation

•933 CY Riprap Class II

•1,027 CY Riprap Class III

•43 CY Salvage Riprap

•600 LF Rock Weir (36” to 72” Diameter Boulders)

•478 CY Clay Fill Embankment (Berm Material)

•950 TON Aggregate Class V (Access Roadway)

•1 LS Seeding & Mulching

•And incidental items.

The work is estimated at $330,000-$350,000.

Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or a Bidder’s Bond made payable to the Pelican Group of Lakes Improvement District, in the amount of 10% of the full amount of the bid as a guaranty that the Bidder, if successful, will enter into Contract and furnish appropriate Contractor’s Bonds in the full amount of the Bid.

Paper copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from the office of Houston Engineering, Inc., 1401 21st Avenue North, Fargo, ND 58102, upon payment of $50.00 for each set, non-refundable.

The Pelican Group of Lakes Improvement District reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or to waive any informalities therein.
