Behavior Care Specialists (BCS) is now offering intensive early intervention and school age services for children diagnosed with autism, pervasive developmental disorders and related developmental disabilities.

Autism and autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are estimated to affect 1 in 68 American children. Both terms are used to identify a wide range of disorders that have their roots in early brain development.  A diagnosis of any developmental delay can be daunting, but early intervention and proven therapy, can ensure that each child has the best chance to reach his or her full potential.

BCS services will include consultations, diagnostics, training and behavioral therapy. Our program is designed to provide young patients with the language, social, pre-academic and independent living skills needed for success in life. BCS offers behavioral treatment utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and can work with children, physicians and schools to create the best program for the individual child. ABA can be used to teach a range of skills and positive behaviors, including functional living skills, reading, language, social skills, positive peer support, academic engagement, and more.

There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, January 12, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Kids Adventure Preschool (425 4th Ave. SE, Perham, MN  56573). BCS management and therapists will be on hand to answer questions about diagnostic services, ABA therapy, intake process, insurance billing, scheduling, and more.
