Obituaries

Hayden Nelson

Hayden Thomas Nelson was born on a beautiful and warm August 19th morning in 1992. His first unsteady steps were spent on a farm west of Casselton, North Dakota. He moved to Pelican Rapids at a young age and ran with his brother and friends in the woods along South Lida Lake. He attended Pelican Rapids High School where he excelled in speech and enjoyed playing in the band and starring in some local plays, including Peter Pan.
Hayden lived life on his own terms. He enjoyed political discussions, as he cared deeply about the world, but even more than that, he loved stories. Whether the story was told in a movie, a song, in a book, in the news, or sitting with relatives or friends discussing a humorous anecdote, Hayden reveled in listening and finding humor in tales that were told well and retelling the events in conversation.  read entire story. . . .
